This antique advertising desk accessory is a late 19th-century Victorian cast iron and bronze paperweight made by John Becker of Boston for The Washington Life Insurance Co. of New York.
Heavy cast iron base with an ornate embossed brass or bronze nameplate and central lifting knob circa 1860s–1880s Victorian advertising collectible that is signed on the underside by the Boston-based die sinker and machinist John Becker. The different fonts are beautiful put together.
