Charming vintage ceramic double light-switch cover by A.J. Wilkinson Ltd., England, featuring an elaborate brown transferware floral design on a warm ivory ground. The decoration depicts a classical urn overflowing with lush flowers and foliage, surrounded by scrolling vines and additional blossoms.
The rich sepia-brown transfer decoration has a wonderful English country / traditional Staffordshire look, while the glazed ceramic surface shows attractive overall crazing consistent with age. The back retains the “A.J. Wilkinson Ltd. England” maker’s mark.
A beautiful decorative architectural detail—perfect for an English country, cottage, traditional, or collected interior. The aged surface and intricate botanical pattern give it much more character than a modern switch plate.
