An exceptional early Japanese Kakiemon-style porcelain dish, attributed to the late 17th-century Edo period and distinguished by its beautifully preserved polychrome enamel decoration, unusual leaping-hare motif, and underglaze-blue *Fuku* (Good Fortune) mark.

This finely decorated shallow dish measures approximately **8⅝ inches in diameter** and features an elegant scalloped, foliate-shaped rim.

### Decoration and Artistic Details

The central reserve features a flowering prunus tree, beautifully executed in overglaze iron-red, green, and pale-blue enamels against a luminous white porcelain ground.

The surrounding border incorporates the distinctive **leaping-hare motif**, accompanied by scrolling clouds and decorative elements executed in underglaze cobalt blue and iron-red.

The reverse is decorated with **three hand-painted floral sprays**, an important detail of the plate's overall decoration.

The underside bears a stylized underglaze-blue *Fuku* character, meaning “Good Fortune,” enclosed within double circular borders.

This dish exhibits several characteristics associated with early Japanese Arita and Kakiemon-style porcelain:
