Designed in the 1960s, the Bird chair is distinguished by its highly sculptural silhouette, combining an organically shaped seat with a characteristic oval backrest. The design reflects Fabricius & Kastholm’s fascination with elegant geometry, innovative construction and visually light furniture.

Both chairs are upholstered in red genuine leather and rest on distinctive five-star swivel bases made from lacquered aluminium. The contrast between the vivid leather and architectural metal base gives the chairs a strong presence while retaining the refined character of Scandinavian modernism.

The underside retains “Bird” markings.

An impressive matching pair suitable for a living room, lounge, office or a collection of 20th-century design.
