The design is clearly structured and calmly proportioned; the carved crowning and the tapered turned legs give the slender piece of furniture a harmonious, cohesive appearance. Historical context: Around the turn of the century, the dressing table was a standard feature in the bourgeois bedroom or dressing room. It served the purpose of morning grooming and, with its mirror and small drawers, offered organized storage for combs, brushes, and jewelry. The compact size suited the living conditions of urban apartments at that time; formally, mass-produced dressing tables from around 1900–1910 were often based on 18th-century Neoclassical models.

Features: Swiveling beveled mirror, crowned by a carved laurel wreath with a ribbon; Side brackets with brass knobs in a conical shape – Three drawers: one wide drawer with a frame and two small drawers on either side of the mirror. Design: The piece follows the formal vocabulary of Louis XVI: laurel wreath with ribbon, carved rosette panels at the base of the legs, and tapered, turned legs. The lines are upright and slender, the ornamentation sparing and concentrated on a few points – a restrained interpretation of classicist design principles typical of the period around 1910.
