Its plump, rounded … Read more Wild and generous, this Italian studio vase from the 1960s commands attention with its striking sculptural presence. Its plump, rounded shape is entirely covered in an exuberant relief decoration: hand-applied scrolls, spirals, and small nodules overlap to create a vibrant, almost organic surface, characteristic of the Brutalist spirit of the era. The glaze plays on two contrasting tones with great character: a creamy white base glaze onto which rust-brown splashes drip and accumulate, like traces of rust and earth, seeping into every crevice of the decoration and enhancing its relief. This is a decorative piece that stands on its own, vibrant and original!

The vase is vintage and in good condition. A small chip in the glaze is visible on the neck, as shown in the photo. The glaze is glossy. The word "Italy" is stamped in relief on the underside of the vase.
