The sturdy form is composed of a thick disc of wood for the seat/surface, appropriately patinated from time & use around the edges, carved to a shallow circle in the middle. Four square legs splay and taper to end on rounded feet. One square stretcher bar is intersected by a round dowel for a subtle play on geometry and variety consistent with the period. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to maintain the beautifully patinated finish. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
