The shelf is painted in a muted palette of terra cotta and sage, accented with parcel gilt in the central medallion of a sunflower to unify the look as it slopes gently backward toward the wall. At just over 42" wide, this floating bracket is a practical solution in lieu of console tables with legs, satisfying both a decorative statement and shelf to display upon. Three centuries of patina enriches the character of this intriguing antique fixture to become a focal point of any room, gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
