Exceptional vintage pair of barrel-back rattan dining armchairs with beautifully crafted curved frames and intricately hand-wrapped and braided construction. The barrel-shaped backs are especially distinctive, with carefully woven rattan detailing throughout and substantial, beautifully articulated frames.
The quality of the craftsmanship is immediately apparent in the extensive hand wrapping, braiding, and woven construction. Warm natural rattan gives the chairs a sophisticated, collected character that works particularly well in British Colonial, tropical, coastal, and eclectic interiors.
The loose seat cushions are upholstered in a patterned fabric and attach securely to the chair frames with Velcro.
