Overview of Edward Marshall Boehm and His Work:
Edward Marshall Boehm (1913–1969) was an American sculptor known for his figurative expressionist approach to porcelain, particularly birds and flowers.
He founded E.M. Boehm Studios in 1950 in Trenton, New Jersey, and developed a reputation for creating lifelike, museum-quality sculptures that emphasized technical mastery and attention to detail.
Boehm explained his use of porcelain by its permanence and ability to retain color over time, making it ideal for capturing natural forms.
