A sculptural silhouette that still turns heads sixty years later.
This wingback lounge chair brings serious presence to any room with its dramatically curved, button-tufted back and tapered walnut-tone legs. The original multicolor stripe upholstery — woven in soft gold, sage, and cream — is a masterclass in 1960s textile design, pairing warmth with a graphic, architectural edge. Deep seat cushions and gently flared arms make it as comfortable as it is striking.
I just picked up these chairs, and I have to tell you, their history is something really special. They came directly to me from the original owners. When they were brand new, the family bought them specifically to furnish their Mid-Century summer home, and they’ve sat in that same sunny MCM living room, in front of the great wood-paneled wall with a fireplace ever since.
Just think about that for a second. Decades of summer breezes, family get-togethers, and quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, all while being perfectly cared for by a single family. They haven’t been flipped, shuffled from warehouse to warehouse, or forgotten in a dusty attic. They’ve just been loved.
It’s incredibly rare to find pieces with this kind of untouched, single-owner history. Now that they’ve finally left that summer house, I’m so excited to bring them to you. This is one of those rare chances to grab a true, unblemished piece of MCM history and add your own story to it.
They’re ready for their next chapter—who’s claiming them?
