All original parts of … Read more Vintage industrial cabinet, steel cabinet, workshop cabinet, medical cabinet with glass top, circa 1900 or earlier. All original parts of the cabinet were either riveted or screwed, indicating a manufacturing date before 1900. The cabinet was originally painted white. Small steel cabinet, upcycled/restored, as a standalone piece. The old paint and rust spots were sanded and polished by hand, so that the mill scale from the manufacturing process is still visible, creating an original surface texture that cannot be achieved by sandblasting – that makes the metal boringly homogenous and looks brand new. It has two coats of clear lacquer, the interior and back are painted anthracite, and metal discs have been welded to the sharp-edged feet with felt glides attached. One riveted interior compartment. Condition: see photos; the original glass top shows signs of wear.
