Each … Read more Exceptional early 20th-century Macey sectional bookcase crafted in quarter-sawn oak, consisting of four stacking sections with original glass-front doors. Each door lifts upward and slides back into the cabinet, allowing the shelves to remain accessible while protecting their contents.

The bookcase features strong quarter-sawn oak figuring throughout, a warm golden-brown finish, stepped sectional construction, decorative dark metal banding, molded trim, and a substantial upper cornice. The lower section incorporates a single drawer for additional storage.

The interior of the case bears the original Macey 910 factory marking. Macey sectional bookcases were manufactured in Grand Rapids, Michigan and became particularly well known for their self-disappearing glass doors.

A highly functional example of early American office and library furniture, suitable for books, collections, or display.
