Brutalist lion sculpture ca. 1970s by renowned artist and jewelry designer, Pal Kepenyes (b. Hungary, 1926, d. Mexico, 2021).
Soldered steel and brass with embossed fruit, floral, geometric and owl motifs with perforations throughout.
Eyes in green and red are semi-precious stone, which contrast beautifully with the perfectly patinated brass.
Excellent, original condition with natural patina present.
Signed to underbelly.
