Paint-decorated chest from the Et Cetera Collection by Drexel Heritage, featuring a refined Neoclassical design with two drawers and tapered legs. The case is decorated with faux-painted gray panels framed by geometric borders, scrolling Greek key ornament, and hand-painted musical and floral motifs.
The upper drawer is embellished with floral sprays and musical instruments, while the larger lower drawer features a central composition of a violin, sheet music, bow, flowers, and a ribbon. Ornate silver-tone escutcheons and drop pulls complete the decorative treatment. The top has a faux-stone finish with a shaped overhanging edge.
The combination of warm wood tones, painted decoration, classical ornament, and musical motifs gives this piece a distinctly European-inspired character.
The reverse retains the original Drexel Heritage Et Cetera stencil, identifying the manufacturer and collection.
