Pair of large vintage Japanese Imari porcelain vases with decorative bronze mounts. The porcelain is densely decorated with floral, bird, and garden motifs in a palette of cobalt blue, orange, ochre, green, and cream, with an overall craquelure glaze.
Each vessel is fitted with a decorative bronze rope-form rim and an ornate detachable footed bronze base, adding architectural weight and contrast to the patterned porcelain. An original underside label identifies the porcelain as Japanese Imari with bronze mounts.
Their substantial scale and symmetrical presentation make the pair well suited to a console, pedestal, hearth, or other prominent display.
