A generously scaled vintage dining set with genuine documented history for 2 chairs. The double-pedestal table has a banded mahogany top with lighter satinwood-tone crossbanding and a fine dark stringing line, in the Georgian/Regency-revival style often associated with Duncan Phyfe designs. Reeded, downswept pedestal legs ride on brass-capped casters, and the table extends from 67" to a generous 106" with two included 20" leaves — comfortably seating 10 to 12. A hand-written factory match number ("23") appears on the underside of the top, both leaves, and the base, confirming the table is entirely original to itself rather than a later marriage of unrelated parts.
The set includes 4 chairs. A pair of Queen Anne–influenced armchairs feature pierced, shell-carved splat backs and cabriole legs (maker unconfirmed, consistent with mid-20th-century construction). A pair of side chairs were made by Hickory Manufacturing Co. of Hickory, North Carolina — a respected American maker known for historical reproduction dining and bedroom furniture, later folded into what's now Hickory White Furniture. These two chairs come with genuinely rare surviving documentation: the original 1971 Hickory factory work order, custom-ordered through F. Newberg & Company of Westmont, Illinois, for the seller's family (the order notation reads "For Kent" — the family's surname).
**Dimensions:** Table 40"W x 67"L x 29"H, extends to 106"L with both leaves. Armchairs [21.5"W x 18"D x 18"H, seat height]. Side chairs [17"W x 18"D x 18"H, seat height].
**$600 OBO.** Local pickup preferred in Denver, CO given the size and weight; happy to discuss shipping the chairs separately if needed.
This set has been in my family for over 50 years. It has been the holiday family table for this big family for hundreds of holidays.

Structurally sound throughout. **Sold as-is — no repairs, refinishing, or reupholstery have been done or are planned.** less
