Striking pair of vintage Daystrom Furniture, Inc. swivel bar stools, circa late 1960s–early 1970s.
These sculptural stools feature dramatic high, tapered backs with black vinyl upholstery set above graceful black-finished metal bases. Slender curved metal rods flare outward to form the legs, while circular footrests complete the distinctive silhouette.
The combination of the exaggerated pointed backs and airy architectural bases gives the pair a wonderful Mid-Century Modern look with subtle Hollywood Regency and Gothic influences.
