A fine pair of Chinese export porcelain plates dating to circa 1780 to 1790. Each plate is hand painted in the Famille Rose palette with an exuberant arrangement of flowering branches in pink, blue, yellow, green and turquoise.
An armorial crest appears prominently at the top of each plate, indicating that the service was most likely privately commissioned for a European family. The scalloped rims are finished with delicate gilt borders.
The plates remain in wonderful condition for their age. Four pairs are available.
