Elegant vintage Venetian Murano hand-blown wine goblet featuring a luminous ice-blue conical bowl, shimmering gold aventurine twist stem, and broad optic-textured foot.
The bowl and foot display a beautiful spiral/ribbed optic pattern that refracts the light, while the sculptural applied stem incorporates sparkling gold aventurine glass. Traditional hand-blown construction is evident in the subtle variations and tactile pontil mark on the underside of the foot.
Previously catalogued at auction as Venetian Murano, Barovier & Toso style, circa 1960–1980. The exact glasshouse is unknown; comparable decorative stemware was produced by important Venetian makers including Barovier & Toso, Salviati, and Seguso.
A sophisticated example of mid-to-late 20th century Venetian art glass, equally beautiful displayed in a collection, bar cabinet, or used as statement stemware.
Approx. 8" H x 4" diameter.
Very good vintage condition with minor characteristics consistent with handmade glass and age.
