An Art Deco, 1920s era frosted glass, small stature table lamp. All original glass shade and base match to each other. The pieces are both decorated with subtle florals and have survived in very good condition. The glow when illuminated is soft and warm, and the scale is perfect for a bedside table, kitchen counter, display shelving, or any other space where a sweet sentimental feel is desired.
The shape starts to hint at French Industrial Bauhaus/Machine Age with the geometric sphere at the base and the slightly exaggerated cone form of the shade. This mix of sweetness from the florals and bolder shape is exactly why this lamp is so special. It teeters between styles, and references them both in the process.
We love how absolutely modern a piece this is while clearly having originated a hundred years ago.
