A sophisticated pair of French Louis XVI style side tables constructed in ebonized wood with restrained gilt-brass detailing.
Each rectangular case contains two drawers framed by fine brass molding and centered with circular brass pulls. Fluted corner details continue into tall, tapered and fluted legs terminating in petite brass sabots.
The clean rectangular tops and architectural proportions give the pair a slightly more tailored character than traditional marble-top nightstands, while the black and gold palette remains unmistakably French.
Ideal as bedside tables, end tables or small occasional tables in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
This pair is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
