Initially manufactured by Johannes Hansen, the Folding Chair dates back to 1949.

This particular pair was manufactured in 2002 by PP Mobler, a workshop founded in 1953 by brother Ejnar and Lars Peder Pedersen. PP Mobler holds exclusive license to a number of Wegner’s most complex and sought after designs, including the Papa Bear Chair and The Chair (Model 503).

Each chair has been fully refinished and rewoven to the original specification. The metal hardware was left as-is, having acquired a distinctly coastal patina as a result of spending decades by the ocean in one of California's seaside towns. See less
