Beautiful matching pair of vintage Louis XVI / French neoclassical-style armchairs with oval medallion backs, fluted tapered legs, carved rosette details and a wonderfully aged sage-green/gilt finish.
Excellent decorative condition; chairs are sturdy.
Upholstered in a striking cream-and-caramel chinoiserie/toile fabric featuring figures, foliage, birds and pastoral scenes. The fabric works beautifully with the distressed painted frames and gives the chairs a very collected, designer look.
These make fantastic statement chairs for a living room, bedroom, library, entry hall or sitting room and would also work beautifully flanking a console or fireplace.
