A rare rolling bar cart, also known as a Dry Bar Cart, an iconic creation by the renowned Milanese architect … Read more A rare rolling bar cart, also known as a Dry Bar Cart, an iconic creation by the renowned Milanese architect and designer Carlo di Carli (1910-1999) for the prestigious Italian manufacturer FARM (Scorzè), circa 1960/1965.

This piece is distinguished by the masterful use of thermoformed bentwood, a specialty of the manufacturer, resulting in lines of organic and fluid purity.

Designed for functionality and mobility, it is mounted on original casters discreetly concealed beneath its base, allowing for easy movement around a living room.

Two large curved doors open to reveal suspended semi-circular shelves, equipped with original silver-plated metal brackets to secure glasses and decanters.

The front opens with a drop-down door featuring a hinged mechanical stay. This reveals a generous central compartment, lacquered white, specially designed to securely store bottles upright.

At the bottom, a large, concealed drawer is seamlessly integrated into the plinth for storing bar accessories.

The back of the unit features the same high-quality veneer as the front, allowing this bar to be used in the center of a room or at the end of a sofa.

Materials: Light walnut veneer, white laminate/lacquered work surfaces, original hinges and screws.

Excellent overall condition, smooth mechanism, functional casters.

Slight oxidation on the metal of the hinge, consistent with its age. (see photo) This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
