It has double padding, with a lower cushion for comfortable kneeling and an elongated, padded upper armrest for holding a prayer book. It is made of solid walnut wood, with a classic backrest of decorative vertical bars. It has been reupholstered with a fabric of the same color and texture as the original, as the upholstery was in very poor condition. It is now in perfect condition and will last for many more years.
