The chair displays the distinctive formal vocabulary of the Viennese Secessionist wicker furniture associated with the Prag-Rudniker Korbwarenfabrik.

A closely related chair is documented in specialist literature as an anonymous wicker chair used by Adolf Loos, including in the Wilhelm and Martha Hirsch residence in Pilsen in 1929/30. The documented example is identified as executed by the Prag-Rudniker Korbwarenfabrik in Peddigrohr.
