A defining feature … Read more This exceptional asymmetrical dressing table from the former Czechoslovakia was designed in the style of Jindřich Halabala. A defining feature of this piece is its faux wood grain finish, in which a burl-like grain pattern was hand-painted by a craftsman. Because this finish cannot be traditionally restored, the piece remains in its original condition. Nevertheless, the surface is still in exceptionally good condition. There are slight signs of age and small spots visible that bear witness to the piece’s history. The iconic mirror also shows slight weathering and has distortion characteristic of old drawn glass. The Bakelite handles on the four drawers provide a stunning finishing touch. See less
