Item: Vintage Cherry Bedframe by Statton Furniture (Queen Size).
Age & Condition: Circa 1960-1970. Good, with a few signs of age and use.
Dimensions: 63″ wide x 84″ long x 69″ tall. Box-spring will sit 10.5″ off the floor.
Beautiful Queen Poster bed in solid cherry wood. This elegant and traditional bed was made by Statton Furniture Company in the 1960s.
Queen Poster Bed
This Queen Poster bed has a traditional design. It features tall elegant “pencil” posts of equal height on the headboard and footboard. It also has a nice shapely headboard. Finally, the bed rails sit relatively low to the floor, so with a traditional box-spring and modern mattress, the bed will not be super high.
Of course, the bed has a traditional hook and slat method of fitting the siderails. Because of its age, we used metal bed shims to make the fittings extra tight, so the bed fits together to make a sturdy frame. It will require a box-spring foundation.
