Beautifully hand-painted in a rich palette of green, black, iron red, and gold, the charger exemplifies the enduring craftsmanship of Arita porcelain, Japan's oldest porcelain tradition, which has flourished in Saga Prefecture for more than 400 years. The center is decorated with a finely detailed dragon surrounded by traditional Japanese motifs, while the broad rim features elegant pheasants, floral ornamentation, and idyllic landscapes with rivers flowing beneath bridges. Delicate gold accents enhance the composition, reflecting the classic Imari style that combines underglaze blue with richly colored overglaze enamels.
