Hand-thrown pottery vase with a dark brown glaze and pronounced throwing rings that create a rhythmic, tactile surface. The classic teardrop form and understated proportions are characteristic of Bo Fajans’ handmade ceramics from this era. Origin: Sweden. Material: Pottery / faience. Dimensions: H. 17 cm, D. 9 cm. Period: 1940s. Condition: Very good condition with minor signs of wear. Bo Fajans (founded 1874 in Gävle) was one of Sweden’s notable producers of decorative ceramics in the early 20th century. The factory is well known for its hand-thrown vases, bowls and figures, often featuring deep glazes and experimental surface treatments.
