Unique and unidentified side chair from Italy.
Unfortunately we were not able to find the maker of the chair. Most likely it comes from the 1960s/70s, it still has slotted screws. It is a bit confusing as it also could be a postmodern design of the 1980s. Possibly it is a prototype.
The chair with its square grids is clearly a hommage to the great designer and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
It is made of army green lacquered wood with brass details at the top of the backrest. The chair is constructed with mortise and tenon joints, the outer edge is attached with wooden dowels.
The chair is in good original condition with some traces of use. Some loss of lacquer, mainly on the seat and two wood damages at the bottom of the legs. All visible in the photos.
