Known for their world-class engineering, this designer piece marries the classic, deep-buttoned tufting and rolled out scrolled arms of a traditional Chesterfield with Avery Boardman's signature high-end craftsmanship. The beautifully distressed, olive-green leather finish was difficult to photograph because the owner had to move the sofa into the garage and the lighting changed the image repeatedly.. Nevertheless it is in excellent condition, was rarely used and will last another 100 years based on its quality.

The style is sophisticated, the color handsome, and it also has that lived-in patina, making it a timeless statement piece tailored for a custom home library or other elite interior space.

The actual age is a little tricky. It is a vintage piece but it is not an early mid century like many of Avery Boardman pieces. The reason is based on the size and style with its English rolled arms, deep button tufting, and lower-profile seating. It is tailored identically to the proportions requested. This was only done on later pieces. See less
