Made in France from solid beechwood, the chairs feature richly carved gilt frames and elegant silk-cotton damask upholstery.
Each chair has the characteristic enclosed Bergère form with a tall squared back, upholstered sides and generously padded seating. The solid beechwood frames are decorated with traditional Louis XVI details, including fluted tapered legs, carved rosettes, floral foliage and delicate ribbon-and-bow motifs.
The frames have been professionally refinished in genuine gold leaf, creating a warm antique-gold appearance that beautifully emphasizes the carved decoration. Subtle variations in the gilding add depth and vintage character.
The upholstery is a refined silk-cotton damask featuring a classical floral bouquet pattern in soft neutral tones. Its understated palette complements the gold frames while allowing the chairs to work equally well in traditional, Parisian, neoclassical or more eclectic interiors.
