The piece is documented to designer Archimede Seguso, circa 1950s. It is created with powder pigments, the "Pulveri" technique, and profusely covered in heavy gold leaf throughout. The gold glitters in any light. The technique is published in many books. The lid is original to the piece, with ball decoration in the same design as the bowl. The jar is made with thick glass, and heavy for its size. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, side table or desk. Use it as a catchall, jewelry or candy dish. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. Measures: 4 1/4" tall x 4 3/8" wide.
