A striking original exhibition poster produced for Sabhan Adam's 2002 solo exhibition at Galerie Commines in Paris.

Against an intense red background stands one of the enigmatic and emotionally charged figures that have become so closely associated with the Syrian artist's work. A dark, deliberately distorted head rises above an extraordinarily elongated neck rendered in vivid shades of yellow, orange, and red.

Part human and almost creature-like, unsettling yet strangely melancholic, the figure perfectly embodies Adam's highly personal exploration of the human form.

The remarkably simple graphic layout and saturated red ground give the poster a powerful visual presence, while its connection to Adam's 2002 Paris exhibition makes it an appealing document from an important period in his international career.
