A sophisticated set of two coordinating side tables by Bolier & Company for Decca Home, representing the Kata and Atelier collections by noted designers John Black and Michael Vanderbyl.
Rather than an identical pair, the tables were designed as complementary pieces and share rich wood tones, geometric forms, lower display shelves, and beautifully executed veneer work.
The square Atelier side table is particularly striking, featuring an intricate geometric book-matched veneer top that creates an almost kaleidoscopic pattern. Its slender tapered legs terminate in polished metal sabots, while a circular lower shelf provides an elegant contrast to the square top.
The round Kata side table has a more architectural profile, with a subtly patterned radial veneer top, circular lower shelf, and intersecting geometric supports. The restrained design beautifully showcases the craftsmanship and warm wood finish.
