Elegant vintage double picture frame crafted in gold-tone metal with decorative neoclassical-style detailing and glass fronts. The two frames are joined by hinges, allowing the piece to stand open on a tabletop, dresser, console, or desk.
Each frame appears designed to accommodate an approximately 5 x 7 inch photograph. The slender molded borders feature delicate beaded and geometric detailing with small ornamental flourishes at the corners, giving the frame a refined traditional look without being overly ornate.
Based on the construction, decorative metalwork, and overall styling, I would date this piece to approximately the mid-20th century, circa 1950s–1960s. No maker’s mark is apparent, so the date is an estimate.
