Very hard to find large platter. Lovely Elsmore & Forster with the Vaquero pattern in purple and tan - Measurements are in the photos. Measures about 18.5" long x 14.75" wide - No chips, You might see an imperfection in the transfer in the photos. some cracking in the glaze also shown in the photos. The embosed makers logo on the underside is very visible but a little faint
"Vaquero" is a highly collectible, mid-19th-century English transferware and luster-glaze ironstone pattern produced by Elsmore & Forster. Based in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, the manufacturer operated under this name between 1853 and 1871. The pattern dates back to circa 1850 and is highly valued by collectors of equestrian and Western-themed antique ceramics
