An authentic early-2000 writing desk from Ethan Allen Country French Collection (item #26-9319)
This impressive piece is masterfully constructed from solid yellow birchwood and finished in the signature whitewashed “Provence” glaze. The desk features three shallow storage drawers embellished by custom hand-painted floral motifs that coordinates seamlessly with the drawer pulls. The solid birch structure is completely stable and free of structural defects. The signature whitewashed “Provence” finish and custom made hand- painted floral motifs remain vibrant and intact, displaying a natural vintage patina. The three drawers slide smoothly and cleanly. The main desktop surface is clean and shows only very light, minor texture variations/ not-so smooth patches upon close inspection, along with a pinpoint blue paint dot near the surface edge. No deep gouges or notable finish loss. less
