Designed by Giovanni Pelis for Neolt, this original Stile Architect Trolley was produced in Italy during the 1970s as part of a new generation of professional furniture conceived for architects, designers and technical studios. Rather than functioning as a conventional storage cabinet, it was designed as a compact mobile workstation, allowing essential drawing tools and documents to remain organised and immediately accessible throughout the creative process.
Its distinctive configuration clearly reflects this original function. Three generously sized drawers provide enclosed storage, while two lower shelves and two side compartments accommodate larger materials and frequently used equipment. The moulded top incorporates two rectangular recesses together with two circular openings, specifically intended for drawing tubes and technical accessories. Every element has a precise purpose, illustrating the functional intelligence that defines Italian Modernist design.
Manufactured entirely in white ABS plastic and mounted on castors, the trolley combines exceptional practicality with a restrained architectural aesthetic. The clean geometry, absence of unnecessary decoration and carefully balanced proportions allow it to integrate naturally into both contemporary interiors and historically significant design collections.
The Stile model shares the same design philosophy as the Neolt Superstile series, favouring modularity, mobility and rational organisation while offering its own distinctive internal configuration. Today it remains as relevant as when it was first conceived, serving equally well as a studio organiser, side cabinet, bedside unit or sculptural storage piece.
The trolley is presented in very good vintage condition. The structure is clean and well preserved, showing only light signs of age. More evident traces of use are visible on the top surface and inside the drawers, consistent with its original professional purpose. Overall, it remains a remarkably well-preserved example of Italian workplace design from the 1970s.
