Five slightly flared tubes of varying heights rise from a wide, rounded, glazed ceramic base, irresistibly evoking stylized bamboo stalks or a bouquet frozen in time. The glaze is what makes the piece so magical: its high gloss and golden hue lend the whole a luxurious and poetic character. Placed on an entryway console or coffee table, this vase makes a remarkable display for a bouquet of flowers.

The vase is vintage, dating from the 1990s. It is glazed in gold. The piece bears the label of Daan Kromhout, a Dutch distributor specializing in designer interiors since 1982. A few small chips in the glaze on the lower tubes and slight marks on the base are visible in the photos.
