the compact rounded form is finished with integrated side handles and a vivid polychrome decoration combining cobalt blue, deep red, warm ochre and black accents on a creamy white ground. Stylized floral motifs, scrolling ornament and draped decorative elements give the piece a distinctly historicist french character while remaining highly decorative in a contemporary interior.
the underside bears the handwritten inscription “p.v. Louviers” together with “fait main”, indicating handmade production in louviers.
its small scale makes it particularly versatile as a decorative accent on a console, shelf or table, while the strong color palette gives it considerable visual presence despite its compact dimensions.
