It is a 1925 lithograph of 2 sister dancers in cabaret costumes including hats, jewelry, high dancing shoes, and gloves. They are posed in action flirting with their. audience. The image is a design drawn by Edouard Chimot. Chimot was an French illustrator whose career peaked in the 1920s. He is best known for his talent of drawing women with grace and brilliance. In addition to his artistic works, he played a signigiicant role as an editor who brought commission talent to the public audience. This lithograph showcases a drawing highlighting his skills at their best. It is in pristine condition. Meaures 7. x 9.75 inches. It originally appeared as an illustration in a theater program for the, "Revue du Casino de Paris". As such it was a limited Art Deco publication of a music hall spectacle in Paris. The image comes affixed to black acid free paper, ready for matting/framing. See less
