We are selling this great 19th century American Folk art Box. This box has simple construction with faux grain painted surface. The paint is further decorated with gilt and polychrome floral decoration on the lid and a gilt Georgian style landscape cartouche on the front with gilt embellishments. The interior of the box has salmon color paint and till. We are unsure of the origin, it is most likely New England but might also be from Pennsylvania.
Condition: Surface wear and damages with losses.
