Rectangular highboard or sideboard in wood. The front features light and dark wood checkerboard pattern and at the centre there are three polychrome decorative tiles depicting Astronomy, Architecture, and Music. It comprises four double-door compartments, one open compartment, a drop-front compartment and two drawers. The interior of the drop-front compartment features decorative arches and four drawers. The two rectangular drawers have round brass handles. The base rests on two curved wooden legs with rope detailing.
Designed and produced by Gio Ponti from late 1920s to early 1930s. Certificate of authenticity included.
Good condition scattered signs of age.
