A wonderfully whimsical Theodore Alexander table lamp inspired by Japanese Meiji period decorative arts.
The sculptural base features a verdigris-finished crane gracefully balanced atop a turtle, all resting on an octagonal faux tortoise and parquetry-style base. Rich textures, detailed casting, and the unexpected pairing of crane and turtle create a lamp that feels equal parts conversation piece and functional lighting.

Presented in very good vintage condition with minor scuffs and light wear to the faux tortoise-finished base consistent with age and use. The verdigris crane and turtle sculpture retains a beautiful aged patina throughout. The lamp has been tested and is working properly. The lamp currently utilizes a shorter harp, which limits bulb size. A taller harp may easily be substituted if desired to accommodate a standard-size bulb or alternate shade. Shade included and shown for display purposes. Minor age-related wear throughout consistent with a vintage decorative lamp.
