Its tall, four-sided body rises to sloping shoulders and a dramatically flared circular mouth. Two broad faces feature layered abstract glazing in earthy brown, beige, blue-gray, rust-orange, green, and white, while the narrower sides are modeled with expressive faces in relief. Folded sculptural clay elements accent the shoulders and add dimension from every angle.

The contrast between exposed terracotta, incised and raised details, glossy glazed passages, and matte surfaces gives the vessel a distinctly Brutalist character. At 25 inches tall and 43 pounds, it has the scale and presence of a statement studio-ceramic work for an entry, console, pedestal, or collected interior.
