This exceptional statement chandelier features a beautifully sculptural gilt-metal frame arranged as an abundant botanical composition. Slender branches extend outwards in a dramatic starburst, carrying dozens of hand-cut clear and deep amber crystal leaves.

Rich amber crystal petals form jewel-like flowers around sparkling faceted centres, while transparent crystal leaves capture and refract the light throughout the entire structure. The light sources are discreetly integrated among the flowers, allowing the chandelier itself to remain the visual focus.

The combination of warm amber crystal, transparent glass and gold-toned metal creates a particularly atmospheric glow. Even when switched off, the chandelier functions as a large-scale decorative sculpture.

DESIGN AND ATTRIBUTION

An exact published comparable has been catalogued by a specialist dealer as a French mid-20th-century fixture in the style of Maison Baguès.

No maker’s mark has presently been identified on this example; it is therefore offered accurately as Maison Baguès style rather than as a signed work.

The floral construction is also associated with the glamorous French and Continental European lighting designs of the Hollywood Regency period.
