Elegant French Louis XV style window bench (banquette) featuring a heavily carved wood frame. The apron is adorned with intricate foliate and shell motifs, supported by six classic cabriole legs terminating in whorl feet. The open, swept arms feature subtle padding for comfort and classic lines.
The seat is upholstered in a coordinating heavy-weight woven tapestry fabric featuring a pair of leopards and floral motifs, accented with brass nailhead trim. Condition:Very good vintage structural condition. The carved wood frame is strong and sturdy. The tapestry fabric is intact but shows sun fading and light signs of regular use. An excellent candidate for a designer reupholstery project, or use as-is for a perfectly aged, lived-in vintage aesthetic.

The woven leopard tapestry upholstery is completely intact with no rips or tears, but it exhibits noticeable sun-fading and regular surface wear from age and use. It remains perfectly functional as-is for a lived-in vintage look (though I would add a bit more stuffing, or serves as an excellent candidate for a designer reupholstery project. The price has been adjusted to reflect the fabric condition. less
